my start menu is missing!?!?

CPU/Ram: PIII 1.1Ghz/368MB

I was playing around with my display settings last night,trying to get my screen on Tv.well,it crashed(a common occurence) and i gave up for the night.This evening, i got on,and i have no start menu at the bottom of my screen.I have no clock,and anything i minimize disappears. Someone please help me!(and my resolution IS correct)

Right click the task bar and click on properties. You may be able to fix things there.

Hi
Do you mean your taskbar is missing?? if so, hover your cursor over where it should be, when the double sided arrow shows, drag the taskbar back up.

after going to properties, click start menu tab then choose classic start menu, click apply and ok then switch it back, to start menu, click apply and ok.

you can also get to properties in control panel,doubleclick taskbar and start menu.

you can also create a new admin level account
and after saving contents of e-mail and my documents, delete the broken user account.
or you could try system restore to before it
disappeared.

D.Kamar, Did you by chance press your F11 key on your keyboard which would hide your task bar and maximize your window? Try pressing your F11 key and see if your task bar reappears. Just a thought.
