My recently opened files goes to 0 bytes

Specs: Windows XP
hi everyone,

Nowdays...dont knw what happens to my lapy...whatever files which are opened by me...recently...they are get 0byte size and i cant see them again..every file format...mp3,videos,pdfs...i am really tensed

Plz give me solutions....may be this is virus..but i have Net why...
can anybody help me

Your laptop is in fact possibly infected by a virus.
Even if you have an antivirus software installed, your system can get infected, cause it always appears, first a virus is spread out and after that, an antidote will be developed.

In doubt, download and burn one of the below listed windows independent antivirus boot cd's (ISO), boot the laptop with it and check your system for viruses.

After the above, try running MalwareBytes freebie if possible.
This often finds and fixes things that AV's miss.
