my PC wont play any midi files

Like my duke3d wont play any midifiles but the sound yes when i play midi files is like it play but no sound only quicktime can play not my PC so how do i fix that annoying problems on every games and stuff filename.mid are mute even when the music is on i check my add hardware wizard only thing i can see thats abnormal is universal serial bus (USB) controller and Multimedia video controller are a yellow question mark with a small ! on it so anyone know how to fix that i use 512DDRram P4 main board with is own soundcard on it intel pentium 1.80GHZ

Remove all with yellow & reinstall . You will need the motherboard CD .
