I'm not even sure I'm in the right forum to ask this question but can someone tell me how I can find out if my PC is 32 or 64 bit?

There is a program called "CPU-Z" that can identify if a CPU is 32 or 64 bit. A 64 bit CPU can run 32 bit programs and operating systems (not the other way around). So even though you may have a 64 bit CPU you may be running a 32 bit version of windows XP and no 64 bit programs can run.

CPU-Z gave me the name and model of the processor and then I had to go to the manufacturer's web site to find out that it was 64 bits. Thanks for your help.
