Hello,

I used to get a BSOD randomly with vista. For that (and other) reason, I eliminated vista and installed XP... The installation worked Ok, but when I begun to install some drivers that missed, the computer restarted itself (no BSOD)... Now It restarts itself randomly without any warning after about 2 minutes of work... It is not an overheating issue because I already checked that

Could you help me?... What can I do?

Thank you

Right click My Computer,
Properties,
Advanced tab,
Settings button (Startup and Recovery),
uncheck Automatically Restart.

Now you should get an error message when it happens again.

Most Virus and Spyware scans are likely to work better in Windows Safe-Mode.

Go into Event Viewer then right click
each catagory (System, Security, and Application),
then click "Clear all events".
When Prompted to Save, do not save.
After that , when it happens again, see if E.V. has anything.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP
------------------------------------------
Also, in interruptions of power to the PC, some PCs will start back up automatically.

PC COMES ON AFTER A POWER LOSS RESUMES:
Restart computer into BIOS,
go to Advanced in the Menu Bar,
select Power On Options in that list,
select "After Power Loss",
change ON to OFF,
move to File in the Menu Bar,
select "Save changes and Exit"

Your BIOS may be slightly different,
but you get the idea.

Not sure if Laptops have that.

The laptop keeps restarting and there aren't error messages in the event viewer (I couldn't find the power option in the BIOS setup)... I reinstalled XP and everething was working ok. XP loaded several drivers by itself during the installation process but there were some drivers missing... Then, everything seemed to be working fine until I installed the first missing driver manually. In that moment I got the mysterious restart again... After that, I tried to complete the installation of all missing drivers while the computer kept restarting randomly... still can't find a solution
