hey, i just bought counter strike so i formatted my comp so it work s better and everything was perfect, but whan i started playin about 10 mins after the computer just suddely turns off! and when im not platin nothing happens, its weird, i alreasgy checked the power options and no its not that, so can someone help me cause its frustrating tryin to play and having to turn on the compuper every couple of mins, and also sometomes it lasts longer than other times.. so i dont know, i need some help! thanks i just noticed that if im playin and then i stop, go to the main menu of the game and connect again the time "restarts" and i have the "normal" time to play, ill say like 1o mins b4 the comp turns off, and btw the comp. turns off imidiatly no windows is shutting off or nothing. i hope someone can help they told that this was a good place to help me... if u need any info on my Lap. or anything please ask! thanks alot!!

Laptop? What sort of graphics card? I'd say the laptop is overheating. Does the laptop have decent specs? download 3d studio mark 2001 and test your graphics card. all the best

i have the ATI mobility radeon or something ike that, its a sony vaio about 1 year old, it has P4 2.66 and 512 mb ram so i dont think thats it, ans othe rpeople have told me that overheating doesnt make the computer turn off but anyways my comp cant overheat it doesnt have anything around it. i added u to my msn maybe u can help me better through there cause i need to fix this thanks!
