I accidentally pressed caps lock + shift + maybe other keys and then the keyboard doesn't work properly anymore. Instead of alphabet p,o,i, and others, it gives me numbers 0, 9, 8 and so on. Did I press the keys that are meant to change keyboard settings? If so, how can I recover?

Orange Tabby: If you are using a laptop, that may explain your problem. Some laptops have an option to change the keyboard settings so that you can use certain keys just like the 10-key number pad on a standard keyboard. If that is the case, you need to check your documentation or the manufacturer's website to determine how to turn that function off.
