my friends crazy problem

Norton anitvirus puped up with a (inter progam error, uninstall then reinstall) messsage. I uninstalled it, and installed Panda Titanium. Panda got rid of about 46 "infected" files. All was good as far as I could tell. The next day I tried to go to hotmail.com, and it wont let me. Windows media palyer wont open, pops up with "interal error". Gmail website wont load either. Those site load up on other Pc's, so I know its jsut mine. I tried reinstalling Windows Media player, but no good. It wont let me restore my settings to an earlier time a blank window pops up when I try to restore, I have tried resetting and running in safe-mode many times, but no success
please help my friend...i tired all i could, im stumped

Hey, i've solved my problem. All i had to do was re-install Internet Explorer 6 and my windows media and everything else worked. Good luck!
