my .exe extensions all became .ink extensions

Specs: Windows 7, 4/500
All extensions changed to .ink. help!. Am running windows home premium. Alll my .exe extensions are now .ink and I can't open any programs. Any help will be appreciated.

malware/virus infection. Start by doing a online scan and get the bad guys removed. Then google exe extension fix and run the repair.

Good idea to checl for malware. Download and install MalwareBytes freebie. It is good at finding and fixing malware that AV's often miss.

For the LNK problem, go here and install the EXE fix:

If that fails (which it shouldn't) try the LNK fix from the same website.
