Hi I'm having problem reading my DVD-RW media that I burnt. I don't have a problem running it on my DVD-R/RW burner. But when I try running it on another desktop and a laptop DVD-ROM, it won't detect it. I won't detect on the DVD Player either. All computers are running windows XP Pro. I made a picture slide show using Sonic MyDVD. Also, I tried making a backup data with my DVD-RW media using nero 5.5.10.7. It didn't work either. In nero InfoTool, it said that my laptop DVD-Rom was able to read DVD-RWs.
Please help.
Here's my spec The burner I'm using is Pioneer DVR-105 firmware version 1.00 AMD Athlon 2100+ XP 768MB PC2700 DDR 120gb HD Used a DVD-RW that came with the DVD burner and burnt it at 1X.

There isstill not a universal standard for DVD-RW, and different brands of DVD hardware cannot always read a CD from another maker.

rac is correct. I have two earlier Pioneer DVD-R/RW components and they are great. However, the RW function does not work on all DVD players. The DVD-R should work for all but the oldest players. I have had success in using Nero InCD for dragging and droping files which are then readable by other DVD players. It has been so long ago that I do not remember whether or not I had to completely close the files for no additional writing.
