I have a hp presario that has XP home Edition on it. U upgraded to XP Professional. After the upgrade all my documents are gone. I did not istall new, I upgraded rather still missing document. When I search some of the documents whick I remember the names I got them back. When I check the hard drive and mydocuments nothing there.I even check my profile"documents and settings.Help

You can go to wherever you backed them up, and put them back in.

you can try doing a system restore if the documents are that important? At least if that works you can upload your documents onto a disk or external device and then upgrade? You are then able to transfer the files on an external device/disk onto you computer again?
