Check your start up menu and see if that folder might be in there?

The following is a copy of a reply to someone's
post:

Any shortcuts or even full programs that you place inside the Startup folder will run automatically each time you start Windows. The items displayes in a particular user's Startup folder actually come from two places:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

and

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

where username denotes a your user account configured on the computer.

So, try to remove it from the above two folders.

This happened to me a while back and I fixed it by going to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Userinit

I had a duplicate string of

C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe

I just deleted the duplicate and this fixed My Documents appearing at startup.
