Comment:

I recently installed a new hard drive with Windows XP Home Edition, and I put my old hard drive as the slave. I cannot access any files in the My Documents folder on the old drive (I can access every other folder). I tried swapping out the two drives (resetting the jumpers accordingly), but I can't boot my PC with the old drive (constantly reboots after hitting the Windows XP logo display). I would deeply appreciate any help on this, since I have a lot of stuff in that folder.

sounds like the old My documents may have a password on it.. Does it give an error?

Try Renaming the folder to something else then access it..
You can Also try to "Take ownership" for the folder and files.
