No not the history. Recently opened documents appear in My Documents. With previous versions it was possible to clear that folder when you wanted to.

start>control panel>taskbar and start menu>start menu>customize>advanced...clear list button at the bottom of window

Get TweakXP... that will clear the document folder, on windows exit plus many other features!!!!
