i hope someone can help me.. i have a canon digital camera and i am trying to download the pics into the subfolder "my pictures" within the "my documents" folder. i get an error saying i cannot do this because it is a read only folder. ?? -- i right clicked on the folder, went to properties and unchecked read-only and had it apply to all folders and sub-folders. i tried to download the pics again, and same error (cannot download to read-only folder)..i checked the folder properties again and it still checked as read-only...

Can you download the pictures to another folder? For exemple C:\

Hi, I have a canon g2 and I download my pictures to the software that came with it then go in later and move them to the My Pictures folder in My Documents.

I have the same problem using an Olympus C-3000Z. Actually, the folder is "semi" checked with a gray checkmark in the Read only box. But it never keeps the attribute when I "uncheck" the box and apply. Every time I go back to it, it is "semi" checked again. I do get that message everywhere I try to download to (even the C/ drive). It's a mystery.
