I am not sure why this is happening but every time I start XP, the My Document folders opens. I have been in the msconfig tool checking if there is anything related to the folder but I have found none. It' probably a registry key that neesds to be modified, but I'm not sure which one.
I know it's not a big issue about the folder but it gets annoying after awhile.
Does anyone have any clues on how to disable this folder, when starting the OS.Thanks,
Marco

Goto RUN: Type in msconfig, click ok. In the general tab, click the radio button that says selective startup. Now move over to the farthest right tab 'startup' and there will be check boxes for all kinds of programs. None of them here are critical and you can turn off all of them (improves system performance), but you should only turn off those which you don't want. The one that you are looking for is either "explorer" or "my documents". Confirm changes restart and that should do it. If it isn't explorer or my documents, then just keep de selecting until you find which one it is.

Any shortcuts or even full programs that you place inside the Startup folder will run automatically each time you start Windows. The items displays in a particular user's Startup folder actually come from two places:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
and
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Where username denotes your User Account configured on the computer.
So, try to remove it from the above two folders.

I have done both of the suggestions already, the msconfig and the folders, nothing in msconfig and nothing in startup folders in any user's folder.
There is something somewhere that is executing the folder to open, but I have no idea where...

Maybe it starts as a Scheduled Task.

Uncheck the box.
