5 days ago I switched my computer on and had a message saying that some BROWSEU file was uninstalled and installing it back may fix the problem but i don't know what is it and i can not see my icons nor can i see the start menu,etc.......pls help me out!!!

To get your desktop etc. back, pres Ctrl,Alt & Del to bring up Task manager then click on 'New task' or 'file/new task' and type 'explorer.exe' (without the inverted commas) click 'ok & your desktop should be back. After this, you need to run a full virus scan as Browseu is linked to a trojan infection - do a Google for more information.

This page has alot of XP fixes

Some require the download of a VBS, or Regedits file.
So, read at the top of that page--
"To use the Regedits" or "To use the VBS files"

Then go to line 195, then click item in right hand column.
