Specs: Windows 7
i have hp compac desk top. the HDD had small capacity so i decided to get another HDD with a bigger capacity. now, i installed the HDD and it worked well. when i was cleaning it i discovered that where the new HDD was put was not okay so i had to change the position.during the process i disconnected a lot of cables and the main fan on the body.after completing i reconnected everything. when i tried to start it could come on. i used a compressor to clean it. its a pentium 4 hp with windows xp and ddi cables. where could be the issue?

You used a compressor to clean it?

Do you mean an industrial-type motor compressor or a can of compressed air purpose-made for PC cleaning?

If you used a motor compressor, water vapour may have killed one or more components.

If you are sure that did not happen, then double-check all cables & connections are in the right place.

My guess is that you put it back together wrong. What does the system do when you attempt to boot it? Any lights, fans, or beeps?
