My computer wont turn on!!

Well at least 90% of the time. It started a little while ago. (I guess because my brother used to turn it off without logging it off. I didnt mind because even if you hit the power button the computer will automatically log off.) Anyways, My computer has been always fine ,there are no problems I can recall but everytime time I try to turn it on it just wont. It clicks and the power led flashes for a fraction of a second , but it goes back off. (however, the leds on the keyboard and the light on the mouse, are always on) Now ,It was OK with me before since I just had to unplug it and plug it back on. But now that doesnt work quite well. I have to click and click the power button until it finally starts. (at least a couple of dozen times) I'm scared that if I keep doing that I might burn out something or break the switch. Now, First I thought it was a power problem but I plugged my computer in different places around the house (even tried it on my friend's house) and nothing. It can get really frustrating and annoying since sometimes no matter how hard I try my computer wont start -for days-. Any help would be really appreciated.

it sounds like its your power button that has a problem .. i would open the computer and start it manually ... follow the power cable to your motherboard unplug them then start it yourself with a tool ... n see if it works ... and by the way give a try to the old safe mode u never know.

I have a similar problem if anyone can help. Last week i shut down my computer by clicking the start button on the screen. However a couple days ago i press the power button on my computer and it did not react. I mean no LED light came on NOTHING just silence. My computer would not turn on no matter how many times i pressed the power button. I need help! If its the power supply box let me know so i can just replace that.

My problem is that i can start my computer in safe mode but it will not start in regular mode. it just goes to windows load up and then a blank screen or black. seems like the monitors turn off too, or sleep. everything stars up fine in safe mode tho.
