|The Nvidia information is the BIOS detecting the graphics adapter. After that it is supposed to proceed to testing ram & detecting drives and other devices. If the machine has been disconnected from power for 5 months it is possible the CMOS battery has run down and the BIOS settings have been lost. I recently resurrected an old P3 motherboard that initially gave BIOS beep errors but after being connected to power and re-starting a few times eventually started up fine. |
I would suggest first thing you should consider is replacing the CMOS battery. Then disconnect the hard drives and try booting up only into the SETUP screen by tapping the appropriate key ( DEL, F1 etc) to re-do the BIOS settings.
There would be little reason you could not get to the setup screens since the system is at least able to pass POST and get to the display & Ram tests.
