|This worked for me:|
"MYComputer" took 20 to 25 seconds to open it's window. A flashlight went side to side until the window opened up.
I went into "msconfig" using the "RUN" from the "start" menu.
I disabled all of my "START UP" programs and ALSO disabled all of my non-microsoft services.
I then went back into the services and disabled any Microsoft service that was "STOPPED"
This now gave me only the Microsoft services that were 'RUNNING"
I then re-started my computer and low and behold "MYCOMPUTER" WINDOW opened up in less then a second.
I think if I "enable" all of my STARTUP ENTRIES ---- IT WILL STILL WORK
The problem was in one or more of the MICROSOFT SERVICES that had stopped.
Since my computer and internet is running perfectly fast; I will leave well enough alone.
Hope this may help someone else with the same problem with 'MYCOMPUTER WINDOW"
