My computer not starting up

Specs: Windows XP, 2.8Core 2 Due/ 4GB Ram

Hey guys,
Yesterday i have done a shut down to my comoputer which it was its first since a month ago, and when I tried to start it up again it didn't want to start it is lik i am not pressing the power button!, although it is new and has a very high specs.
Any suggestions that I can try please?
