May 12, 2005 at 00:49:09
Specs: Windows XP Home Edition, 512mb

Hey, lately (like a month or so) my computer has been randomly making a beep noise, and usually when that happens my mouse stuffs up, like it either freezes, or goes all over the place or sumtin, and usuallyw ithin about 10 - 15 secs it returns to normal, but that beep is really annoying, as well as the constant mouse probs, i dont think it has anything to do with what im DOING on the computer, but i dunno

thnx in advance

A couple of things to try. With power off unplug and reconnect the mouse. restart and see if that helps.
next. try another mouse.
If still no improvement it sounds like the PS2 port might be playing up. If that's the case then you might be up for a motherboard replacement.

If beeping continues, just turn the stereo up a bit a you wont here it any more.
It works in a car when the engine is making noises.

Just kidding
hope you got a sense of humour

Have a look at the task manager !!!

See what cpu unilisation you have !!!

The beep is a single beep that you can hear every few seconds or so correct ??

You may have a cooling fan going out and the beep is warning you of the high temp, then the CPU "freezes".
