I'm looking for some help.

I was on my computer when Windows update popped up stating there is an update that I should download.

I quickled saw it.. It had something to do with internet explorer 8 ( Which I don't use)

So I downloaded it and it asked me to restart. After that my computer does not load!!

It won't go into any safemode (command prompt/ networking/ regular) Or Last Known good config... Or regular.. It just restarts after I click on any of them.

Any thoughts?

This is why I always recommend to everyone to make a restore point and burn it to a cd. There is software out there that can sometimes help with a situation like yours. System Mechanic by ioLo, (note, I have no afiliation with this co.), will repair a lot of problems. It's a reasonably inexpensive program that will work on 32 bit and 64 bit systems. PJ

this is bad information, because I had made the restore disc...and it still will not load up..Microsoft needs to compensate us for this issue.
I do all my business from my home computer and I can't continue to bounce around to library to family members to run my business.
Please find away to fix this problem.

If you have an XP CD you could try a repair install.

Have you tried disabling automatic restart on failue - should be
option on safe mode menu (keep tapping F8 key from before
windows starts booting) - should stop the failure on a BSOD with
possibly useful information.

If you have XP install CD, repair reinstall will probably fix the
problem:- http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...
