I have a 1.8 Ghz, 256 DDR, Ati 7500 All in Wonder. When I play games, i can play like for 20 mins to 30 mins and it works just perfetly. But after that amount of time my computer just has the biggest lag u could imagine. I tried deinstalling and reinstalling the drivers of my 3d card, I even found other drivers for my card but it didnt work. I thaught it was the processors temperature but it can go up until 50 degrees celcius sometimes. Then i thaught it was my 3d card that was overheating, I checked and it was not hot at all. I called the guy where i baught my comp and he said that it wasnt a hardware problem but a software problem (meaning a prob with windows xp and reinstalling it)...
Hope some1 can help me I'm tired of trying to repair my comp unsucessfully.

Could be memory trouble maybe. Try fixing the size of the page file in the virtual memory setting rather than letting windows manage it or having a variable page size. I am using 1000 Mb...very more than enough considering I am using 512 Mb overclocked ram. You could also try turning off some of the more advanced features of your video card and running at lower resolution.

From a Microsoft web page:
If an older application gives you trouble when running
Windows XP, you can set the compatibility properties
manually so that the program runs in a different mode,
such as Windows 95, or in a different display or resolution
setting. To set the compatibility properties for a program:
1. Right-click the executable or the program shortcut to the
executable, and then click Properties.
2. Select the Run this program in compatibility mode check box.
3. From the list, select an operating system that the program
runs in comfortably.
4. If necessary, also change the display settings and/or
resolution, or disable the Windows XP visual themes.
Run the program again when you?re finished changing the
settings. Adjust the compatibility settings again if the
program is still not running smoothly: a program that's
unhappy on Windows 2000 may flourish on Windows 98.------------
Also do any Windows Updates that refer to
Compatibility.
