must go to repair to access Net

Intel / Awrdacpi

Specs: Windows XP, 3.058 GHz / 503 MB
This problem occurs on my old computer and a newer one, but the same XP was transferred. To access the Net after shut-down I have to right-click Local Area Connection and click Repair. This is quite new and follows some sorting out of our router, which I did not do, nor was I there when it was done. I was using a fixed IP address and the engineer apparently said we should use the automatic IP address. If anyone can help after such a vague description I would be grateful.

Sounds like you were infected, choose a fix out of these links, just a matter of finding one you can understand, that fixes your problem.
