i live in the states and i have a friend who lives in germany. she deleted some files and when she tried to install xp again to repair them, she came across a problem. she put in the install disk and started the upgrade. put soon into it, it asked for a differant disk. now i have installed xp many times and it never asked for any other disk. does any body know what is going on. and i told her to change the bios to boot from cd but when she presses delete it goes straight to CMOS. i cant say anymore because i dont know the details. any kind of help or suggestions is greatly appreciated. thank you.

If your talking a 'Clean Install"

Go to Advanced in BIOS and set boot order to boot from CD first then click F10 to save and exit and it will reboot and load from DOS ...
