I am seeking help for some problems my girlfriend is experiencing with her PC.
She is able to connect to her Internet Service Provider, but after connection cannot access Outlook, hotmail or any other website. Then each time when she returns to the homepage she is greeted by the message that the server is unavailable, the standard Windows page that tell you to refresh etc.
This isn't a problem with the ISP as I use the same company and the PC hasn't been infected with any viruses.

Sounds like one problem, not multiple problems. If you type ipconfig /release (then enter)and then ipconfig /renew (then enter)at the command prompt (Start, Run, CMD), does that help? If not, what message do you get in response to the latter command?
