I've had this Dell system for a year and it's been fine, but all of a sudden multiple problems have appeared. For example:
a) Internet Explorer frequently only displays part of a page, although the rest seems to be loading (according to the info bar)
b) Several application screens are missing some text. eg the "Exit" button no longer displays "Exit"
c) Winamp3 gives error message "The application or DLL c:\WINDOWS\System32\KsUser.dll is not a valid Windows image"
d) My Epson inkjet printer has stopped working
e) The Excel display screen shows solid columns rather that cells
This is only a sample of problems - the system seems to have gone haywire!
Would it be better to reinitialise the disk and start again?
Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks

Marcutin,
If this has just happened and you have checked for viruses and used ad-aware and/or spybot, then I would suggest that you try a system restore to a time before this started happening.
Starting over,to me, would be the last choice. I'm sure others out there will have better advice.
Good luck!

I've run Norton AV, Ad-aware & Spybot and no nasties have been found.
Is re-formating the disk and loading XP difficult?
