CPU/Ram: amd athlon 1.4 , 512 ddr

i recently had 2 harddrives; one with xp pro and the other had home. i was wondering, now that one of the harddrives is gone is there anyways to get rid of the os selection screen that shows when i boot...

Edit ur boot.ini file - should look something like this:

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect

You will have 2 O/S's listed - just remove the 'Home' entry.

The file is a hidden protected system file in root of C drive - so ur'll have to 'unhide' it first.

You can also do it from the device manager>>advanced>>startup and recovery>>settings>>edit.
