hello folks,
I am having a few problems with internet, and also windows messenger.

1: Internet explorer will not show some pictures, or animation, and I have tried installing java, but says its already installed. and i cannot find a way of sorting whatever codec is needed to display pictures.
I/e also keeps popping up a window saying there are errors on the page and would i like to debug it.
I don't have a clue how to debug anything lol.

2: Windows messeger insists on re-installing itself in my startup thingy.
I keep disabling it and it replaces itself there every damn time i boot. seems microsoft has built in spyware of its own lol.

I do not wish to remove windows messenger because i need it for remote assistance, and i don't wish to use a 3rd party remote assistance as it means telling people i know to install it. this would be too much trouble for my "novice" friends.

Is there a way i can stop messenger from playing spyware games with me, and is there a way of getting all the pictures and animation back in I/e, and stop the annoying error window?
Many thanks people :o)
Yodadude.

check directX diagnose for errors,

try repairing Iexplorer as well,

update flash plugins if needed,

check services running and msconfig for messenger at startup and disable, and messenger options,

i have updated my flash plug ins, and also tried installing java. but java says its alrready installed, and when I right click blank pictures, there isn't an option to show picture or to update anything. how do i repair ie?
As for messenger, as I said, I need to keep it enabled for me to use remote assistance, as msn messenger wont function assistance without it. so I need to prevent it replacing itself in msconfig.
I'm checking google for answers to repair ie.
Many thanks :o)
