I wish to have 3 oses on my new system, windows 2000, xp pro and xp 64 bit. Is there a safe way to do this? I also have a wd cavier 500 gig sata hard drive.

Willing to try something new

Divide the HDD into a minimum of 3 partitions, format all as NTFS, then install Win2K on C:

Then, while still within Win2K, pop in the XP Pro CD. When the window pops up asking if you wanna upgrade, choose "advanced", then make sure XP installs on D:

You will then have a 2K/XP dual boot setup.

As for XP 64-bit...do you have a 64-bit CPU?

discusses dual boot 32 and 64 bit XP.; with the usual caveats etc. re' drivers, software (apps\utils etc...).

Following on from "jam": Once you have W2K and XP installed (each in its own space/partition/logical-drive) you simply repeat the standard XP setup routine and ensure it too goes into its own space...
