Comment:

I just purchased a Presario 2100 Notebook with Win XP.

Like my desktop (XP Pro, 98SE, ME, Linux Red Hat 8.0, Win 3.1), I want to multi-boot my notebook. I have PartitionMagic 7.0 and BootMagic to accomplish this and place each OS on separate partitions on a 30G Drive

Partitioning the disk was no problem as well as installing the boot manager however,...I've been building machines for 15 some odd years and Compaq & HP will not accept OEM 98SE and ME CD's. When I intsall either CDs, I get the fatal BSOD when Setup finishes copying it's files.

So, obviously, Compaq/HP has something proprietary with these CD's. What I don't know, but has anyone been able to circumvent this problem?? Has anyone been able to multi-boot with XP/98/ME??

What I have learned from compaq laptop. What ever operating system came on the system I keep it. I do not know anyone who has been able to multiboot or dualboot different operating system. (you can try a program called acronis OS Selector 8.0)
Good luck post back if you get it to work.
