I now have two programs blaming msvcrt.dll for crashing: Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Microsoft Word 2007. I have version 7.0.2600.2180 (I've memorized that since I've Google'd it so much) of the dll file, and I've tried replacing it but to no avail.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated because I really need Photoshop to do some graphics work. Thanks! Attached is a screenshot of when it happens in Photoshop.

I've tried, but it says it's unable to register it... here's the exact message:

"msvcrt.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found.

This file can not be registered."

THE PROBLEM IS FIXED.

If anyone is having a similar problem, I have one piece of advice:

Check to see if your default printer is set as a network printer. If it is, this causes these errors. For example, it was causing Word 2007 to crash when I clicked on the Headers part of the ribbon. In Photoshop, anytime I wanted to open/create a new file it would crash.

These were both fixed after setting my default printer to something like Microsoft Document Image Writer. HAPPY TROUBLESHOOTING ALL!
