I am missing MSPaint, Windows Standard Cursors, my calculator, and wordpad. However when I tried the add/remove windows components, it asked for a copy of Windows XP Pro CD? I have MCE and it came with my computer so I don't have the CD...

Yes..I did do a search for the answer before posting my question. But thank you so much for looking out for me. I also provided all neccessary information. Unless there was something you would like me to give you more detail on? If so, please feel free to elaborate. I can't tell just by your post what other information you need.

Robin043, "I am missing MSPaint, Windows Standard Cursors, my calculator, and wordpad."

Did you have those programs before? If you did have you tried a System Restore to the closest date prior to when they went missing? Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.

Since you don't have the CD, I would search your computer for a folder named i386. This is usually what is contained on the CD. Be sure you search for hidden files and folders also.

Many times it is a sub folder of C:\ or C:\Windows. The size of it and all it's sub-folders should be around 600MB. (right-click it and select Properties).

Then BURN the folder i386 and all it contains to a CD for archive/safe keeping.
