I have been having problems with MSNBC streaming video stuttering and freezing. The problem only started in the last few months. It happens with IE6 and still happens in IE7. It happens with Windows Media Player 10 & 11. It happens with the Firewall enabled and completely disabled. The only thing that makes a difference is, it works okay when using Firefox.
Anyone have any idea what settings in Windows Media, Windows XP or Internet Explorer would cause such an issue?

Interesting. You might try posting over at Mozilla's forums also to see if anyone might be able to help.

Hi t_habrock, I had the same problem. This is how I 'fixed' it. I went to Tools|Internet Options|<Advanced Tab>
Under the "Reset Internet Explorer settings" section click the reset button. This fixed the problem for me. You will have to restart IE. If you have any toolbars that get disabled, just go back in under Tools|Internet Options|Programs|Manage add-ons, and re-enable the add-on toolbar/app(s) you want. This worked for me and I'm running XP w/sp2, IE7 w/Google toolbar and FoxyTunes mp3 controller add-on.
