Hi,
How to delete the MSN Messenger from the Task-Bar when the Outlook Express is turned on?
I can exit it off but everytime I start up the Outlook Express it appears again.
Thanks

Go to C:\Windows\inf (make sure you have *show hidden files & folders* turned on.)
Find & open sysoc.inf
then find a string that saysmsmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,hide,7
and change it to
msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,,7
In other words just delete the word 'hide'. Make sure there is 2 comma's between .inf and 7. Close the file and save it
Now go to the Add and remove programs applet in the control panel and you will be able to see it there & uninstall it! =) You can also delete other 'hide' words in diff. strings, you will be able to see more stuff that Microsoft hide it from ya! =)

You can simply open Msn Messenger, go to Tools, Options, Preferences, then uncheck the box next to 'Run this program when Windows starts', then click OK.

For Outlook users, in addition to unselecting the "Run this program when Windows starts", there's a place in Outlook that will start Messenger if you want to use it for IM purposes. The default seems to be Yes.
Can't remember the path to that screen right now, but you can find it by clicking around a little in Outlook.

For some REASON ... I cant delete MSN messenger from MY COMPUTER :( when i go to Remove program it isnt there..... HOW DO I GET IT OFF MY COMPUTER I hate it....

Follow Chris's instructions to keep the program from starting up. If you have Outlook, you may want to follow my suggestion above.
I don't know if you can delete it, but you can keep it from running.
