On MSN Messenger (i use version 6 but have had problem on earlier versions) I can never successfully have a voice conversation over the microphone. It's not a problem with the Mic, because that works fine. But I just get different error messages, either stating that theres a problem with my connection or the person's im trying to talk to. Sometimes it connects successfully but the other person cannot hear me. What can I do?? Thanks Alex

thats a problem with shared internet connections?? or firwalls if i remember correctly if u have either of these let me know

I dont share a connection but I do use Zone Alarm as my firewall. I wouldnt be too keen on disabling that though, is there much I can do? Cheers Alex

what internet connection have u got?? i dont know much about zone alarm but there should be option to configure it to allow msn to pass thru if u have 56k internet u can happily do away with firewall as theres 99% chance u wont get hacked cos its too slow and not really what hackers are looking for failing that get norton internet security as it configures itslef and asks what to do instead of blanket firewalling just try and disable it and test voice dont be too paranoid by the firwall/hackin propaganda its a money spinna most of it for the software houses good luck
