My friend and i are trying to figure out how to send thoes msn messenger pop up spams things to each other, i have his ip and he has mine but how would i go about sending one?

you may need to put the ip address instead of computer name, if you are working over the internet.

but i cant send to him, only to myself, he is in ontario....does that change anything? if so how can i resolve that?

Go to GRC.com website and test spam message on your messenger program, if it's popped up, and you can get ZoneAlarm Pro (if you're on broadband connections). the firewall would block port 445 for a messenger spams. btw, you must disable XP's own firewall before you install the ZoneAlarm Pro!
Also MSN Messenger, go to TOOL then OPTIONS, go to PRIVACY tab and see the "ALL OTHER USERS" then move to block area. you'll not getting spammed messages.
