Msn messenger shuts down computer

When I try to open Msn Messenger, my computer reboots. Any ideas?

Could be a corrupted file in MSN Messenger, so two things to try....

1) Download and install MSN6 'over the top'.
2) Run sfc /scannow in the RUN box to check for any corrupted/missing system files.

Also - have u performed an AV scan lately ??
