Hi,
is there anyway to install Msn Messenger as "user" on a machine runing WindowsXP ?I want to use the last one version 7.5, but on the machine is installed the 6.5. I tried to install the newest one but i don't have admin rights :((.
10x in advance
P.S. Please don't propose me to use Trilian, Miranda, Gaim or any other alternatives, the problem is MSN messenger->WinXP->no admin rights:(

In a Computer running WinXP unless the user has Administrator privilges, the user cannot install any programs. This is a security feature of WinXP to prevent running Malicious programs. If you are not the owner of this PC, the only way you can install the program is with the help of the Adminisrtrator of that Computer. If you own this PC, Create an Administrtor account with a log in Name and Password through Control Panel>User Accounts> Create a new account
M

Sorry, but if the programs are not Microsoft Like=s---, you can install them even without a administrator privilges, examples :
IrfanVIew
Gaim
Miranda
Yahoo Messenger older versions, don't forget that you have always write permissions for your home directory, so there you can put whtaever you want. The only problem is that some programs like the stupid MSN want to write in the system folders.That's all
hope I'll find a solution sooner :}
