Try it another day... (Could be a temporerally failure)

Otherwise try it on another computer. (maybe there is something wrong with that MSN)

Or let somebody else try it on his computer. (Maybe an account error)

If neither of these 3 works, reinstall it, or get Windows messenger...

Tell him to disable windows firewall and also to make sure his firewall is not blocking MSN Messenger. Make sure MSN is allowed to access the network.

Is he running Norton 2005 by any chance as this sometimes also blocks Messenger.

@brijeshpatel:
Try the things I named above...

If it occoured just like that, while it has worked you must check what has changed and al...

If it hasn't worked at all... then it could be if you are behind a router... those have a firewall on their own.

I need help!---Whenever I try to sign in to msn messenger it says:"Signing into msn messenger failed because the service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." It has been saying this for over a week now.

Also whenever I try to check y mail it never works. Its like theres a virus for things that have to do with MSN.

Please help.

Have you logged regularly into your hotmail mail? (I mean via typing the username and password an not via MSN).

This because I think that it somehow doesn't always see that you've logged into your mailbox via MSN and it always does notice when you log in manually.
