msn messenger gone weird???

ok today I was constantly getting signed in and out of msn messenger and yet my other friends were having no porblems , it then said that they were doing maintance , but now I can log on and off but I cannot send any messages or do any activities with anyone that comes online , (Note I think im seen as offline by others even though I am online and I can still see people log on and off)

Open MSN Messenger. Click Help - Service Status And it will come up with the status of msn. At the moment, it looks like it is having some problems. Right now I cannot log in at all.

It went down while i was online last night and was still not working this morning, but then they eventually got it sorted. But as I write this (3:30pm UK) it seems to be down again! I can't sign in at all.
