im trying to connect to my sister in college with a microphone. she can hear me cleary, but i cant even hear a whisper from her. She says there's a RED X that she cant click or change on her microphone bar in the chat window. we can talk fuzzily on AIM both ways, but msn is a lot clearer quality in mic.......however she cannot say anything ~_~ any ideas? we checked her volume bar and such for anything muted btw

It's nice you want to talk to your sister. A lot of people would be quite happy with your arrangement. LOL
She could check device manager to see if there are any red Xs there, and maybe lead her to the problem. And maybe she has a faulty mike. I know this isn't much help. Sorry.
