Here's the situation: customer had a Win98 box at work and a laptop w/ Win98 at home. using the msbackup.exe utility, he would backup up any file he had changed from previous backup onto floppy disks (sometimes 2,up to 12 floppy disks). he would then take these disks home, restore them onto his Win98 laptop (thereby updating the files on his laptop) and continue working on those files. Before going back to work he would again do a backup onto floppy, take these disks back to work, and restore them on his work machine.
he has now bought a new system from me - has XP Pro on it. to my frustration/disappointment in myself, I now fully realize what he wanted to do and realize that I should have explored further before selling him his new system. as of right now, he can't do what he needs to do. I need to find some way to allow him to once again be able to backup/restore in either direction (to/from his xp box and to/from his win98 laptop).

Wow. I'd suggest getting them into the current years and at least get them onto a USB ZIP drive instead of them damn floppies. Then just setup a batch file they can execute to do all the Copy/Past functions (if they aren't smart enough to manually copy things around).
Otherwise you might look into the Backup utility that comes with XP, not sure if it'll work with Win98's though.....
