Hi,
I'm kinda of a new tech, somewhat fresh from college. Now I have a job with actual servers and computers, sandbox if you will. I have several machines here that need to be wiped and reloaded. I have a unattended install floppy and the for the most part this should get that done. But then there is the SP2 CD, then reboot and updates, then reboot and more updates, and I think I had to do it one more time after that. Is there disc or a way to make a disc that will just get all of these in one cd to just pop in and let it all install up the latest updates and reboot once and call it done.

Also is there away to script the installation of several smaller apps like QT, WM10, Java, Adobe Acobat Reader, etc...

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Slipstreaming is the way to do it. Here is another site that details various methods from simple to complicated.

To make a cd with sp2, all the updates, and some small apps that you talk of. Where you can just pop it in then partition and start the format and come back 45 minutes or an hour later go here.

The site you posted domass was the one I thought I posted - the simple to complicated. Either way, there are a few methods to chose from there.

Thanks guys. I think that site is exactly what I'm trying to create. I would go around ghosting but these machines aren't the same in form hardware wise. And it's only about 15 now, I've done about 3 or 4 the complete manual way.

Would I be able to slipstream Office 2003 with it's service pack and such?

yes you can do the same with Office 2003.

In fact one of the methods described in the link domass posted will allow you to include Office 2003 with Windows XP. However you will need a DVD to make the disk, it will be to big to fit an CD.
