MS Works, Outlook Express 6

Comment:
When I go to File and then click on Send from within a Works 7.0 document I want to send as an email attachment, Outlook Express 6 isn't opened. Instead, I get the "Choose Profile" boxes. I tried going through the various boxes and choose OE 6, but it wouldn't allow me, I think I may have a line missing from my registry, but a check of the MS Knowledge Base showed nothing on this issue. But that's not unusual.

I know there are other ways to send an attachment, I simply want to have something fixed which should be working.

HP tech support helped me find the solution so I'm posting it in case it may assist someone else. If you are having problems with a program not launching OE 6 and sending the document as an attachment the problem is in OE 6 because it is missing a line in the registry. Look for the article in the MS knowledge base with the number 306098 and follow the instructions.
