Firstly, what version of Outlook? You'll need to locate the pst file from the backup and put that in a location preferably on a separate partition from where the OS resides. The steps to use that pst file differ...depending on which version of Outlook. Post back with that, and I can give you detailed information as to how to use that pst file. You'll also need to configure the email account(s) as well.

There is no Outlook 6. If it's Office 2003, then it would be Outlook 2003 (version 11). It's better to store data on a partition other than the OS...just in case the OS crashes, it can be repaired/reinstalled with no data loss as long as the partition sizes are not changed.

So, here's what you do:

Copy the pst file from the backup to its destination.
Login as the user
Right-click on the Outlook desktop Icon
Properties
Data Files
Add
OK
Browse to the location of the pst file
Highlight
OK
OK
OK
Close
Email Accounts
Add New
Next
Then, just go through the configuration of the email account according to the ISP's instructions.

That's all there is to it. As far as seeing the Contacts when your user clicks on the To: dialog box, see my fix for that under the Howtos section of this website.

They're in the pst file. That's one reason for restoring it from the backup. :)
