Ms Outlook email
used to have a horizontal line below which attachments would be placed. Suddenly that line has vanished and attachments are now placed within my text. How do I get the separating line back please?

What version of Outlook are you using? I'm trying to visualize exactly what it is you're experiencing, but I'm at a loss. Can you post a screen shot?

You can determine the version of Outlook by opening Outlook, selecting Help from the Toolbar, then About Outlook. The window displayed will tell you your version.

If you are using Outlook 2000 I believe you need go to Tools, Options, Mail Format, then under Message Format select HTML as your choice in 'send messages in this format.' You may also have to select the check box for 'send pictures from the Internet'. I am not sure as this machine I am on now only has Express.

Good Luck & HTH

I do not know what you mean by this. I am referring to the header that shows when you are lookink at your Inbox screen. Do you see a paperclip showing in this header beside the From field?

I think you're talking about the Preview Window.

Open TOOLS - Options and search for Send and Receive. You can find the control to activate the lower-half window there.

Version 5.1.2600? That sounds like Outlook Express, not Outlook.
