I am having trouble with my Optical Mouse in Counter Strke when you move it fast it will move along with the flow and then when you try and move the mouse slow it moves to slow what is going on microshaft said this is the best os i see it as the worst nothing works right i have formated and reinstalled i dont know how many times it is getting to the point im about to switch back to windows 98se well if any of you all find any thing to fix this please help me thank you alot
ToX|C.

I know a few people that have similar problems with optical mouses...make sure have the right drivers for your mouse, that fixed their problems, xp doesn't allways have the best drivers for the devices it finds on your machine and will use the same ones each time your reformat and partition etc,..also just double check everywhere in cs and in windows on all the mouse options, maybe you rare missing somethin obvious

I have just started getting similar issues in most of my FPS games (and diablo II). If I change back to the normal PS2 mouse there is no problem. I have been using the Optical for over a year and its been fine so something has changed recently. I am still investigating, but I have installed Direct X8.1 recently which may be the issue - the directinput part of direct X controls the mouse in FPS games I think. I am also going to go back to the older version of the intellimouse drivers to see what happens. I am running Win98 SE.
